Project Description

The Saint Paul Police Foundation was established to act as the non-profit, fund raising arm of the police department to help alleviate budget and equipment shortfalls that had the hit metropolitan police force. Money raised through the Foundation has gone toward funding programs, initiatives, and equipment, including; the Bomb Squad, K-9 Units, Cyber Crimes, Domestic Violence, Sex Trafficking, and others, that the overall operating budget does not accommodate. The Foundations’s annual gala, a black tie affair and major fund raising event, had unfortunately started to stagnate over the years. Revenue generated by the event followed accordingly and it was time for a fresh approach. Through the re-branding efforts, the leadership of the Executive Committee, and the help of numerous volunteers, the newly christened Blue Nite has become a featured event in Saint Paul while attendance and donations in its first year exceeded all previous Foundation events. Congrats to the new, blue crew and the men and women who serve and protect.
